It’s Conan or Nothing
Look, I think Conan’s getting royal screwed. NBC has shown they have no principles.
But how will Conan leaving The Tonight Show affect my viewing choices in comparison to 8 months ago?
Not a damn bit.
I didn’t watch The Tonight Show when Jay Leno hosted before, and I’m not going to watch the rehashed hosting of a person who I just don’t think is very funny. Not to mention, a comic who has had his very lucky time in the spotlight, and now wants to take that spotlight back from his comedic predecessor. It’s pretty lame.
I do hope Conan lands well. I much prefer his offbeat comedic style.
As for Leno… maybe he should semi-retire to a comedy stand-up show on the Vegas strip. Or more to his likely audience, Branson, Missouri.
